Red Water Lilies

All of the water lilies I sell are young, vigorous specimens, specially cultivated here in the nursery.

Andreana

£17.00

Although not commonly available this is an excellent plant which out flowers almost all other lilies. The deep red flowers are goblet shaped and held several inches above the water. The dark green leaves are covered with reddish brown blotches.

  • Approximate leaf spread: 90cm (36 inches)
  • Recommended water depth over pot: 15-60cm (6-24 inches)

Escarboucle

£17.00

This is universally recognised as the classic large red water lily. Mature blooms are extremely big and very striking. Needs plenty of space to do it justice. Very free flowering.

  • Approximate leaf spread: 1.2m-2m (48-78 inches)
  • Recommended water depth over pot: 30-90cm (12-36 inches)

Froebeli

A very popular small variety with wine-red cup-shaped flowers and almost white sepals. The green leaves have a modest spread making this lily ideal for almost any pond. Free-flowering.

Laydekeri Fulgens

£17.00

The Laydekeri varieties are well know as excellent plants for small pools and tubs because of their relatively small size and free flowering nature. Fulgens is the most striking of the group with vivid red flowers.
